‘Entanglements: Observations On Beach Relations’ explores the relationships between mass tourism and a beach. In the Spanish beach town Calella de Palafrugell, emerging tourism changed the landscape and human experiences of nature. The film is a collection of observations of the beach as a place of leisure and visitors’ engagement with their surroundings. Entanglements proposes a different understanding of place, with a focus on connections and relationships rather than oppositions.
